See details of construction crew assignment and coverage for specific cities below.

The neighborhoods and districts around here in Los Angeles, CA. possess a degree of diversity that is befitting the second-largest city in the United States. The Ultimate Pro is proud to serve such a diverse city, full of history, traditions and natural beauty.

Much of this architectural beauty is an artifact of the city’s history and urban sprawl is due to growth by Annexation and horizontal development, which allowed distinct environments to arise in many areas; indeed, many districts of Los Angeles, such as Venice, Hancock Park, Silver Lake, Boyle Heights, are somewhat culturally-distinctive communities with homes that reflect such rich background and city’s past, when those homes need to be reconstructed, The Ultimate Pro is able to reproduce architectonic elements that are nowadays abandoned by other builders.

If you have a craftsman-style home that is damaged or destroyed by a natural disaster and is covered by an insurance policy for reconstruction, you have the right to request payment for the craftsmanship that was once part of your home, no matter how much it costs. So don’t settle with your insurance company until you have a reconstruction builder like The Ultimate Pro assessing the costs of rebuilding. Building costs for well crafted historical homes cannot be calculated by square footage, like insurance companies calculate, but by the number or hours and specific trades necessary to reconstruct a dwelling.

Many of the districts of Los Angeles have their historical homes built by famous architects and famous architectonic styles that are somehow overlooked or unrecognized by the current homeowners, and these architectonic elements or styles are valuable to your home and the history of your neighborhood, don’t settle with your insurance company until you have the cost of such items assessed and evaluated by a reconstruction builder like The Ultimate Pro.

There are homes in some districts here in Los Angeles that have homes designed by Julia Morgan and other immensely recognized architect but unfortunately are never even discovered. For example, there are homes in Canoga Park, Tarzana, Van Nuys, that have distinctive architectonic designs that makes the reconstruction price double as standard construction but in case of a fire only a renown construction company, with capabilities of craftsmen reconstruction can handle –like The Ultimate Pro.

Likewise, in some other neighborhoods like Brentwood, Hollywood hills, Studio City or even Lake Balboa have homes that reconstruction cost do not come close to the charts provided to the adjustors at all major insurance companies, therefore it is important to submit the adjustors evaluation to the Builders for a fair assessment and adjustment to reflect the real needs in reconstruction of the building to its original conditions but following current building codes.

Insurance adjustors also utilize geographical location of your home as a factor to calculate for reconstruction, but for many Los Angeles area residents who notice the significant difference in property values in neighboring districts like those living within the wealthy Hancock Park, versus the neighboring Koreatown, which is a place considered to be in the working class Mid-City area, never demand a proper reconstruction evaluation from a contractor when settling with the insurance companies. Call us and we will deal with your adjustor directly to rebuild what was once there with all improved code requirements but based on quality building materials, not geographic location.

In the San Fernando Valley some communities separated from existing communities to form new ones. For instance two portions of Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California renamed themselves Lake Balboa, Los Angeles, California, Valley Glen, Los Angeles, California, and one portion of Canoga Park, Los Angeles, California renamed itself West Hills, Los Angeles, California, therefore insurance adjustors assume that the home is built when the district was created, paying you for lower building standards and paying less for code upgrades, conveniently assuming that the homes are newer than they are to pay for less upgrades.

The City of Los Angeles posted signs indicating names of communities within the city, but the city has not officially defined the boundaries of those communities. On February 19, 2009, the Los Angeles Times Newspaper published its map of neighborhood boundaries in Los Angeles, and the creation of this map had been a project in progress for three years. This map is important to define your neighborhood and to predict the presence of architectonic-valuable structures. When we come to evaluate your loss, we do not want to save money to the insurance company, we want to provide to you the best that current construction techniques can provide in safety and quality of materials, reproducing all the architectonic elements that your property once had.

The City of Los Angeles began in what is now Downtown Los Angeles, in what had first been a Tongva people village named Yang-na located in what is now the Los Angeles State Historic Park near Chinatown. It later became a Spanish pueblo and eventually grew to a metropolis based on manufacturing, aerospace, and entertainment industries. Nowadays it is still possible to encounter architectonic gems hidden within more recent structures that were later erected. Sometimes those gems were encapsulated with stucco or covered by expansions, remodels or repairs. The Ultimate Pro evaluates all the advantages and cost to identify and rebuild to current codes the older structures that were built with thicker lumber and unmatched craftsmanship. The insurance companies have their polices to save money and usually try not to pay for such reconstruction procedures; therefore, it is imperative that you consult The Ultimate Pro before you accept a check from your insurance company.

The city, and indeed the county, radiated outward from downtown, and geographic names referencing cardinal points or relative directions tend to be determined by their relationship to downtown rather than directions proper. For example, East Los Angeles is not all of the city east of West Los Angeles (region) West L.A. but rather the portion of the city east of downtown (and the Los Angeles River in its proximity). Reconstruction also have to take in consideration the original urbanism of any particular area based of how it spread and the costs of construction for that specific areas. Insurance companies’ adjustors may not be familiar with your areas and may assume that your home is in an area with low-income standard of building and may allot to your case a limited budget for reconstruction before setting one step into your property; therefore, it is imperative to get a full written reconstruction proposal with a report from your construction company addressed directly to your insurance company before settling with your adjustor.

The origins of L.A. neighborhoods are varied. Angelino Heights for example, with its 1880s-era Victorian houses, was within view and walking distance (although a long one) from downtown Los Angeles. The homes in those areas are a statement of how proud the builders of that era felt about their work. To rebuild such a home the costs of craftsmanship may increase exponentially depending of the details and woodwork originally used throughout the home. On the other hand, while distant Playa Vista is the city’s newest manufactured neighborhood, conceived and birthed by developers, the reconstruction prices are just about the same as current code, therefore costing less to the insurance companies.

Chinatown, Los Angeles was originally an ethnic-based community whose population and businesses were forced to move wholesale from a few miles away when L.A.’s newly built Union Station displaced Old Chinatown in the 1930s. When Chinatown was moved, many of the architectonic details were removed from homes and transferred to the new area. While rebuilding after a disaster, The Ultimate Pro’s crews make sure to salvage and reproduce lost parts of architectonic details on homes and commercial buildings.

San Pedro, Los Angeles, California was once an independent city that voted to be annexed to Los Angeles: San Pedro benefited from L.A.’s access to water and the larger city got access to San Pedro’s harbor. In this are the housing is simplistic and easy to rebuild, but when it comes to industrial facilities and cargo transfer and storage facilities, it is not wise to settle with the insurance companies before obtaining an engineering report and reconstruction proposal from the Ultimate Pro.

Downtown Los Angeles

Downtown Los Angeles marks the geographic, governmental, and historic center of Los Angeles. Although it is the smallest region of Los Angeles by area, it includes a great variety of diverse neighborhoods, ranging from several modern skyscrapers of the Financial District to the historic structures of the Historic Core to the ethnic enclaves of Chinatown and Little Tokyo. It also contains many cultural attractions and entertainment venues.

The Ultimate Pro has helped business and property owners rebuild their venues and dwellings to the highest standards and having their insurance companies flip the bill for every single building requirement. If you have your business in the following districts, we can help you rebuild after a major natural disaster to quickly resume your business:

  • Los Angeles Toy District, Los Angeles
  • Wholesale District, Los Angeles

East and Northeast Los Angeles

East Los Angeles and Northeast Los Angeles

To the east and northeast of Downtown Los Angeles and the Los Angeles River lies East Los Angeles. The region may sometimes be defined to include adjacent areas outside of the city boundaries of Los Angeles, such as Montebello and East Los Angeles. The communities listed here, however, all lie within the City of Los Angeles.

Many of the neighborhoods of Eastern Los Angeles house large Latino populations, although several neighborhoods, especially in northeast L.A., have more mixed populations. Many of the neighborhoods house very diverse residents. In the northern portions of Montecito Heights there are white populations of Italian and French descent.

Eagle Rock also houses significant Latino White, and Asian (in particular those of Filipino descent) populations and is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Los Angeles County.

In Monterrey Hills nearly half of the population is white. The population also ranges from working-class to affluent. The predominantly residential neighborhoods of the region contain many hills, especially in northern regions.

If you live in these areas, no matter where you live or how you look like, if you are covered by insurance policies against earthquake, fire or flood, you are entitled to the limits of your policy and your property has to be rebuilt to the highest standards of building and following current building codes. Do not accept any offer from the insurance adjustor that doesn’t involve rebuilding to the highest standards. The Ultimate Pro can write a building reconstruction report for you to submit to your insurance adjustor before settling for any amount. Reputable builders flee the more disadvantaged areas, the ultimate Pro has crews specifically assigned to work on these areas because they also live in the area, so the workers will take pride in doing something to reconstruct their own neighborhoods.

The Ultimate Pro Provides reconstruction Services and dedicated reconstruction crews to Northeast Los Angeles neighborhoods in the neighborhoods named below:

  • Boyle Heights, Los Angeles
  • El Sereno, Los Angeles
  • University Hills, Los Angeles

Northwest Los Angeles

Immediately west of Downtown Los Angeles lie some of the city’s earliest suburbs. Angelino Heights and Echo Park were the locations of some of the first film studios west of

Mississippi River. Now mostly populated by Latino immigrants, a great amount of distinctive architecture has been preserved from the early 20th century, including the restored Victorian homes in Angelino Heights. This region is one of the most densely populated areas in Los Angeles and serves as the former site of Chavez Ravine, which was historically a Latino neighborhood until it was demolished in the 1950s in order to construct Dodger Stadium. The Ultimate Pro provides disaster reconstruction services to these neighborhoods as listed below:

  • Angelino Heights, Los Angeles
  • Franklin Hills, Los Angeles
  • Echo Park, Los Angeles
  • Edendale, Los Angeles
  • Victor Heights, Los Angeles
  • Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles
  • Elysian Heights, Los Angeles
  • Mission Junction, Los Angeles

The Ultimate Pro has provide Reconstruction Services to several homes near the world-famous Hollywood sign and adjacent neighborhoods. Due to the close proximity to our offices and shop, property owners around West Hollywood rely on The Ultimate Pro to rebuild their homes after earthquake, fire or flood damages. Our crews are always available to handle reconstruction or buildings in the Hollywood Hills, West Hollywood and Melrose district.

We have worked in the Universal City Walk hired by national maintenance companies to rebuild the store fronts after water damage caused by the 2006 rains.

Hollywood has a great history, and I mean, long before the actors and actresses took over. Greater Hollywood, Formerly a religious colony, then an independent city, Hollywood was annexed by Los Angeles in 1910. Nowadays its name is synonymous with the motion picture industry, yet much of movie production has moved out to neighboring cities and towns. Tourists flock to Hollywood Boulevard to gaze up to the Hollywood sign in the Santa Monica Mountains. The last decade has brought new life to the once-struggling parts of the Hollywood district, with various developments taking advantage of new subway stations. The wealth of the neighborhoods here is strongly influenced by elevation; some of the wealthiest tracts in the country are up in the Hollywood Hills, with gradually less affluent population leading to pockets of large working-class and transient populations further southeast. This remains The Ultimate Pro’s backyard; therefore, we take pride in maintaining the highest standards of building and construction to rebuild our neighborhood after a natural disaster, including earthquakes and fires.

We have worked in every single one of the neighborhoods listed below. And if you live in these areas, chances are that you have seen one of our trucks driving around from job to job.

  • Beachwood Canyon
  • Cahuenga Pass
  • Hollywood Hills
  • Hollywood Dell

Harbor Area

Following the Harbor Gateway south to the port leads to the Harbor area, an enclave of Los Angeles that is surrounded by various cities and towns. The land of the Harbor Gateway was annexed to the City of Los Angeles so that it would have a contiguous land connection with its seaport. The most prominent neighborhood of the harbor area is called San Pedro. The Ultimate Pro provides reconstruction services to homeowners and business in this area according to our policies (click rates at the nav bar and then click proposals).

Los Feliz and Silver Lake

The Owner of the Ultimate Pro runs throughout Griffith Park in Los Feliz every week. He is a CERT Volunteer and is part of the search and rescue call-out team for the areas. When the hills start to burn, The Ultimate Pro will have all its resources directed to help the homeowners in the area. Not only to rebuild after the damage is done, but to protect your assets before the fire gets to you. The owners philosophy that community is much more than the people you know, it is those you don’t know yet but will be glad to help when the need arises.

Nestled between Hollywood and the Los Angeles River are a group of the city’s older residential neighborhoods that houses Griffith Park as mentioned above, one of the nation’s largest public parks, Northwest Los Angeles.

Similar to most of the city, communities in this area are significantly wealthier closer to the hills. In this fashion, Los Feliz retained its expensive reputation while other districts further south and closer to Westlake were plagued by gang wars or crime in the late 90’s. In the last decade, the area particularly around the Silver Lake Reservoir and now Sunset Boulevard has become closely associated with gentrification, a process which has pushed working class families out due to high housing costs but is bringing in many business and wealthier residents. The Ultimate Pro helps all the neighborhoods listed below with reconstruction services afte a major natural disaster including earthquakes, fires and floods

  • Los Feliz
  • Franklin Hills
  • Silver Lake

South Los Angeles

The Ultimate Pro has worked in rebuilding homes close to Jefferson Park and even rebuilding a home near the Watts Towers.

South Central & South Los Angeles

South Los Angeles, formerly called “South Central Los Angeles”, includes most of the city directly south of downtown Interstate Highway 10 (the Santa Monica Freeway, and Wilshire Boulevard, but not those areas as far southeast as the Harbor Gateway, the Harbor Area, or the Port of Los Angeles

San Fernando Valley

San Fernando Valley

The largest region of the city is the San Fernando Valley, often referred to as “the Valley,” and which includes portions of the Crescenta Valley. It is mainly suburban, and houses a wide-range of socioeconomic groups. It comprises almost half of the city’s land area and about forty percent of the city’s population Mulholland Drive in the Santa Monica Mountains forms its southern boundary. It has gone through periodic clashes with the rest of the city over policy, culminating in a failed effort to incorporate as a city in 2002. Being the Largest city of Los Angeles, this area has the most single=family homes that can be affected by a big earthquake. After a large seismic event, The Ultimate Pro can provide reconstruction services to all the valley neighborhoods as listed below:

West Los Angeles (The Westside)

West Los Angeles is the part of the city encircled by Beverly Hills and Wilshire on the east, and Santa Monica and the Pacific Ocean on the west, the Santa Monica Mountains on the north, and Culver City and El Segundo on the south.

While the area is inhabited by a wide range of socioeconomic groups, it undoubtedly houses the largest concentration of wealth in the city. Attracted by its rolling hills on the north end, and close proximity to the ocean, early developers succeeded in establishing some of the most upscale residential districts in the city and the county. Pre-eminent among these are Bel-Air and Pacific Palisades. Yet further south, pockets of working class areas remain in those areas closest to former industrial areas like those near South LA and Culver City.

The term Westside, though often debated, refers to both the western parts of the city of Los Angeles as well as adjacent cities and towns, such as Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, and West Hollywood. West L.A. or West Los Angeles also refers to a specific neighborhood south of Brentwood and east of Santa Monica. The Ultimate Pro services all these areas not only for Reconstruction services after a major earthquake but also for all maintenance and repair needs.
