Due to overwhelming demand, The Ultimate Pro is helping other contractors with their needs of repairs after a soft-story retrofit and reinforcements.
Although we do retrofit buildings ourselves, we are now helping several contractors concluding their retrofit projects, by doing all of the finishing work required by city officials to close and final the permits.
We come in with all the necessary trades to have the job completed, inspected and passed by inspectors of the city of Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Adjacent incorporated and unincorporated cities.
Here is what we do:
We Box-frame around steel retrofit I-Beams
We Pressure block with treated lumber along vertical channels of I beams for framing
Lathing with 2 layers of black paper
Installation of hand-nailed furring nails and self-furring wire mesh
Installation of weep screed 2 inches above grade at columns and walls
Installation of Bituthene at all horizontal planes
Caulk all penetrations on Electrical and plumbing elements and fixtures.
Installation of galvanized metal trims.
Framing and connect existing columns with steel columns.
Slope top of exterior columns to allow for proper water drainage
Stucco, scratch coat, brown coat and color coat at all I beams and horizontal overhangs and shear walls.
Use a close match of color coat as close as possible as existing.
We reconnect all electrical fixtures, plumbing elements, and drainage (gutters) back to existing condition.
We have the staff, knowledge and the resources to get it all done according to code and on Time.
